ShOuLd ChInA HoLd ThE oLyMpIcS! This year there has been people all over the world debating if China should hold the 2008 Oylmpic games, in Beijing because
of it's horrible human rights and terrible pollution.
I have learn't alot about China and it's human rights and pollution problems.
There have been so many horrible stories about poor people in China thats all coming out because of the Beijing Olympics.
The main reason for this is for the fact that they're a communist country.With people trying to protest and being killed for it,
and others being put in jail for no reason.Then theres there huge pollution problem.Where there is only a few days in the
middle of summer where you can see the blue sky through the smog.With tons of Algae from the untreated sewage in their
water and thousands of people dying a year from their air and water pollution.Even after spending billions and millions of
dollars on trying to fix there huge pollution problem and yet it has only made a l little better.
But I think that China shouldn't hold the 2008 Olympic games but mabey they could hold the 2012 Olympics
if there is a noticable difference not only with there huge pollution problem but also in there human rights as they promised us that they would when they were being chosen over all the other countries with out the terrible human rights problems.China is a rising country in power and mabey we have them as friends not enemies.China has tried really hard to impress the world and mabey went over the top.But I don't care alot, as the Olympics are finished and they weren't that bad.
Well done Ale- you are not worried about the issues affecting thousands of people in China who are suffering?

This term we have done a country study and the country I chose to do was Argentina and this is my evaluation on Argentina using the thinkers hats.
RED:the feeling hats
I feel good about the country I found out about a didn't know anything about Argentina except that it was in South America.
I was very interested in the history of Argentina finding out that Argentina's native people are Indian American and there still are traces of
Indian people in there towns but since the 13th century Spain took over Argentina and there for there offical language. WHITE:this is the facts hat.
Some Facts About Argentina.
Argentina is the second largest country in South America after Brazil.
Argentina's capital is Beno Aries.
There language is Spanish.
The cool thing about Argentina is that they have all types of climates - from Hot grassy planes to the cold Andes mountains.
Argentina loves soccer and that is where Maradona comes from.(one of the best soccer players in the world.)
Argentina has many beautiful sights like the Iguza falls and the Andes mountains.
BLACK:the weakness hat.
All though I don't think it is good to lable a country with there weaknesses unless they are sever(like China's).
The only weaknesses that Argentina has is that it has had a very corrupt government for many years, This has ment that Argentina has struggled with the constant change of bad government this has ment that the whole country has become unstable, leading Argentina to
at some stages almost a third world country with many people living very very poorly.
STRENGTHS:the good points.
the good things about Argentina are...
they have all different kinds of climates in Argentina,
for tropical to plains to the icy mountains.
it's beautiful.
GREEN:the creativity hat.
Argentina has a good has an pretty good government now so
it's not so poor anymore.The people are being better treated and there isn't that much
to fix except that they could be richer so that they could get out of the ditch and become
less third world, nut that is happening as time goes on.
BLUE:the thinking hat The frame of mind that I had to be in to research to get the ideal information for this study,I had to
focus be interested in the topic that was why it was important that I choose a country that I was interested
in.I also had to have a consintrating,inquiring and open mind towards my study(Argentina.)
